Angel Allen-Martin

Team Member

Angel has years of experience in Mental Health, Programming and Administration and Critical Incident Stress Management in Corrections. She holds a Bachelor’s and Masters in Social Work and is a Licensed Master Social (LMSW) with the State of Louisiana.

She held positions in mental health, accreditation and assistant warden until she became the lead of the Crisis Team for the organization.

Her passion is the people. She conducted 107 deployments during her tenure as lead of Critical Incident Stress Team. She developed and implemented the program after the Mitchell Model. The team was inclusive of mental health professionals, security professionals, and chaplains. The team was on call 24 hours a day and responded to any operational event that affected the facility.

Angel also authored articles for the organization in areas such as stress management, anger management, relationships, and more. She developed and implemented the Suicidal and Homicidal Protocols for the organization as well.
