John Pfeiffer

EVP Mission Support

John joined Social Profit Corrections in November of 2022 as Executive Vice President of Mission Support, Marketing and Brand Communications, and Chief Development Officer.  In this role he will coordinate the business support components of the organization including marketing, finance, legal, and technology.  Following four years as a surface warfare officer in the Navy, John worked in the healthcare sector holding leadership roles at Vanderbilt University Medical Center and Lifetrust America.

He consulted with numerous hospital management companies before assuming a Vice President role at CoreCivic (then Corrections Corporation of America).  He was with CoreCivic for twenty years leading technology, strategic planning and acquisition integration.  John has also held volunteer leadership roles in the nonprofit sector with organizations including Easterseals, Easterseals of Tennessee, and the Handbell Musicians of America.

John holds a bachelor’s degree from Vanderbilt University, Nashville, and a master’s degree in Business Administration from Belmont University, Nashville, where he also served as an adjunct instructor at the Jack C. Massey School of Business. He believes strongly that, for all the cost of incarceration in the United States, society should be receiving a much better return than the current broken system is delivering.  “The Social Purpose Corrections model gives me hope that change is possible for all the individuals and families affected by our correctional system.”

Under the current corrections paradigm, there are only two options when it comes to incarceration. Public facilities are bureaucratic and lack accountability for resident success, and private for-profit facilities maximize profit over results to pay shareholders. SPC will provide the nation’s first private, non-profit correctional model. Free from government bureaucracy and perverse profit motives, we can innovate best-practices and reinvest every penny into our residents and staff. Fill out the form below to learn more.
