Missy Young

Missy is a seasoned technology executive with 25+ years’ experience in strategic leadership, overseeing holistic strategy for enterprise solutions, sales, sustainability, and infrastructure. With deep background in startups through public companies, she is a believer in servant leadership and mentoring team members to foster professional growth. Her expertise in technology trends, forecasting client needs and connecting those trends with results have made her an in-demand public speaker and her lived experiences drive her as a thought leader on the topics of leadership and empowering women.

Aside from all the technical stuff, Missy is a Jesus-loving, movie-quoting, cancer-beating, soul sister. As a woman in tech and leadership, she doesn’t believe in sitting on the sidelines of faith, whether you’re at work, at home, or out in your community. She believes that each of us has a unique mission prepared for us by God, and she wants to empower everyone to live out that purpose. She finds great joy in prison ministry and believes that therapeutic rehabilitation is the key to reducing recidivism.

In addition to Social Purpose Corrections, Missy serves on several boards, including the Foundation Board of Opportunity Village, the Girl Scouts of Southern Nevada Board, the Desert Research Institute Foundation Board, and the Board of Directors for The Just One Project. Additionally, Missy is a strong advocate for the certification path of education for young students who desire to enter the technology field, and for keeping the A in STEAM. Missy also hosts a podcast called Boldly Go which can be found on iTunes and Spotify.

SPC will provide the nation’s first private, non-profit correctional model. Free from government bureaucracy and perverse profit motives, we can innovate best-practices and reinvest every penny into our residents and staff. Fill out the form below to learn more.
